Olga Mokrzycka-Grospierre creates her works on canvas, but also concrete and wood. The artist’s chosen means of expression – drawn lines and well-crafted interplay between forms and light – suggests strong influences akin to modernist architecture. The artist takes us on a sentimental journey through relics of the past, bringing to mind mementoes of modernist times, and emphasising minor characteristic shortcomings and “curiosities” of bygone days.
